School Days

Andrew and Liv started school! Here are some pictures from their first day.

I didn't want Millie to feel left out... :)

Summer Parties

I had a birthday! The kids tried really hard to make the day special for me. Every time I asked Andrew to do something, he replied, "Okay, because it's your birthday!" Millie ran around saying "burf-day! burf-day!" Ben made me breakfast and dinner and he gave me a cool handmade kaleidoscope as a gift. He also told me he's going to build me new shelves for the garage. I'm holding him to it.

The weekend after my birthday, Ben's work had a party at Willow Park. They had bouncy houses, rock climbing, face painting, hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, balloon animal making, and then rented the aquatic center. They went all out! It was really fun.

Duchesne BBQ

The weekend of Olivia's birthday we went to Duchesne for JD & Katie's wedding BBQ. Here are a few pictures from that weekend...

Happy Birthday Liv!

Olivia turned FOUR on August 17th! I had envisioned several different big grand plans for her birthday but couldn't come up with something I really wanted to do. Finally I just asked her... hmmm maybe should have thought of that before... and she said she wanted to go swimming. So, big elaborate party out the door, swimming it is. I am so happy she decided to do that instead. Far less work for me and she had a ton of fun.

The next day was her actual birthday and she woke up to four roses from daddy and a room full of balloons. She was thrilled! We packed up our stuff and headed to Duchesne for cake and icecream at Nana's house. I made her a fancy strawberry cake, which ended up being really nasty. So on our way out of Logan, I caved and bought her a store-bought cake. They even wrote her name on it.

It's funny how I always plan big fancy parties but when it really comes down to it, just a cake and some extra special attention is all it takes to make a four year old happy. We love you Livy!

Wedding Pictures

Last month I got hired to take my first ever wedding pictures. Despite my pleas for them hire someone else because I was so inexperienced, the bride gave me a chance and let me do it. I was so nervous but it was actually pretty fun once I got the hang of it. Thankfully I have taken pictures at the Salt Lake Temple before. Here are a few of my favorites...
