JD & Katie

Ben's brother JD got married two weeks ago. I actually forgot my recommend and didn't realize it until we pulled into the temple parking lot! Thankfully they looked me up and let me in anyway. How sad that would have been to miss it.

Ben's mother's family...

Millie taking a stroll with Breanna.

I love this picture of all the groomsmen... and Millie. :)

Ben and his siblings. I have no idea what Ben is doing in this picture.

Baby Cooper

My cousin Lindsey had her sweet little baby while we were at the Wicked performance in Salt Lake. He is such a cutie! I like to make up excuses to visit her just so I can see him. One of my excuses was that I needed to come take pictures... really I just needed to snuggle him a bit. :)

Doesn't he just melt your heart??

Star Wars Party!

Andrew turned SIX! I let him have a friend party this year and he wanted a Star Wars theme.

I tried to keep the party simple this year but Ben and I were still up late the night before getting stuff ready. I remarked to Ben, "Oh the things we do for our kids..." His response: "No, the things we do for our wives!"

These were the favor bags... stickers, thermal detonators (cherry heads), star wars fruit snacks, and Leia's buns. :)

The food consisted of Galactic pizza, Yoda Sodas, and Death Star Watermelon. This is what Ben was up all night carving. It looked pretty cool even if the kids had no idea what it was supposed to be.

Easiest birthday cake on the planet!!

The first activity we had was Jedi training. The kids were supposed to bring their light sabers and try to keep their balloon from dropping to the ground.

They were then awarded with their official Jedi robes... which were a piece of felt with a hole cut out and rope tied around, yeah I told you I was going for simple! It looked like I spent a ton of time on them but really it took me about 30 minutes and cost 10$.

All the cute little Jedis.

Present opening time.  Andrew got lots of neat toys.

The second activity was the game "Save Princess Leia." They were instructed to pop all the balloons until they found the little piece of paper with Leia on it. The winner got a pack of Thermal Detonators.

The final game was "Pass the Thermal Detonator." They threw water balloons back and forth until it broke. Thankfully none of the kids cried.

We then blew out candles and ate lunch. Andrew insisted his cupcake have no frosting... takes after his mother.

The kids played around until the man of the hour appeared...

DARTH VADER!!

Guess who gets husband of the year award after this?? Poor Ben got beat up pretty good by all the screaming kids with light sabers. The kids could hardly contain their excitement though. Darth Vader finally had to seek refuge in the house.

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Aquarium

A few weeks ago, I saw WICKED with my family in Salt Lake. It was AWESOME! Unfortunately I have no pictures from that. It is definitely a must see if you love theater though. It's probably the best show I have ever seen. The next day we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy with my mom and sister. The kids loved that. These pictures are from that excursion...

This was Andrew's face as he beheld....

This massive snake!! It was insanely huge. I posted this picture just for my sister, she was a big fan of this snake. ;)

Some of these fish were bigger than Andrew!

This was a sick nasty tree spider, the biggest thing I've ever seen. Uhh it makes me shiver just thinking about it. Sooo gross!!!

I love this picture of Liv gazing at the fish. She was so grouchy the entire time, but she actually looks serene here.
More proof that I exist, can you see me?? or my nose anyway?
