Surprise!

We are having another baby! I am really bad at making announcements so don't feel bad if you are just finding out. We just went in for our 20 week ultrasound today and it's a....

SURPRISE! Since we already have a boy and a girl and all the baby supplies we need, we decided to not find out this time. Today at the ultrasound I almost told the doctor to just tell us, but I stayed strong thinking that Ben would object. After we left the office, Ben said, "I half hoped you would just tell the doctor to show us." Ah-ha! Good thing neither of us said anything or we would have broke! The baby looked great and was VERY active. We are looking forward to finding out the gender in January, until then... any name suggestions?

Happy Birthday... again.

Yes we have THREE birthdays in August just for our little family of four. Since mine is last and I am now old and boring... it often gets overlooked. But this year I got THREE desserts just for my one birthday. Ben's parents made me brownies the last night we were with them in Duchesne, then my family made me a cake the last day I was with them, and then Ben made me a cake on my actual birthday in Logan. It was nuts! I am soooo ready to take a long break from cake. Thanks though to everyone that made me such delicious desserts!

I was spoiled this year and got money, which I used to go out to eat at my favorite restaurant in Logan, Le Nonne. I am still salivating over my four cheese gnocchi and Ben's crab ravioli. Heaven! My aunt gave me a ticket to see Lion King at Capitol Theater, which was absolutely AMAZING. My sweet cousin took me out for breakfast and my in-laws bought me a new shirt. My favorite gift of all was from my sweet hubby though. He bought me photography lessons! Yay! I am so excited to finally learn how to use all the features on my camera. What a great birthday it was! Thanks everyone. :)

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Olivia turned two on August 17th! I can't believe how fast time flies. I want to jump for joy and cry all at the same time. Mostly cry though. :) She had such a good day.
Here she is posing with the flowers her daddy bought her and the balloons she got from grandma. I was quite surprised to see a two year old love roses so much. She wouldn't let me touch them. She kept crying, "My fowers!"

This year I made her an Elmo coconut cake. Of course she loved it.

All her presents! She was totally spoiled this year.

Her baby doll and stroller from mom and dad was a definite highlight. She also got tons of clothes, a stuffed animal, blocks and stacking cups, a new dress, shoes, books, a doctor set, and dress up jewelry. She loved it all.

Andrew just couldn't handle how slow she was going and had to take matters into his own hands several times.

She helped sing happy birthday to herself this year and kept saying, "My party! My birf-day! My Elmo cake!" Happy Birthday to my sweet little baby! I love you so much!

Fair Week

Fair Week in Duchesne was insane this year! Ben and I were busy delivering ice to a bunch of the booths at the fair and we stayed up every night until at least 11:00pm bagging and getting ready for the next day. We managed to have a little fun between the busyness though. :)

Us at the parade.

Olivia and Andrew had so much fun at the carnival this year.

The two highlights of the parade were seeing Mator and the pink horse. :)

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Yes I know I already blogged about Andrew's birthday but we actually had two parties. One for friends and one for family later that night. Andrew has been asking for a Transformers cake for months now and he finally got his wish. I was so happy that he loved it so much and even wanted to eat it before presents!

We started off the party with a delicious barbecue. Here is a pic of most of my family. Ben's family came a little later so I missed getting a picture of them.

Andrew could hardly contain his excitement to blow out candles!

I slaved over that cake until midnight the night before. Thank heavens he loved it!

Olivia was so excited about this fishing pole for some reason. She kept saying, "Wow!" and carried it around. We asked Andrew if Olivia could use it and he said, "No, it's very very new."

Here he is admiring his color-changing car. Thanks to everyone that came and helped me with his parties and also for the gifts. He got completely spoiled this year and absolutely loved it. Happy Birthday to my "baby" or in Andrew's words, "No not a baby, a boy!" It's still hard to believe he is now 4 years old. I think I will go cry myself to sleep now. :) jk. kinda.

Andrew's 1st "Friend" Party

Summer Adventure #6
Call me crazy but I decided to do a friend birthday party for Andrew this year. I thought we would have a hard time finding people to come since we are only here for the summer but I was pleasantly surprised to have 6 kids show up. All the kids had so much fun. His cousin told me it was "the best birthday party ever. Last year was a rip-off with only a pinata!" Haha.

Here is a picture of all the kids. Little Brynlee on the second row didn't like getting a group picture so much. :) Neither did Olivia apparently.

The kids went on a treasure hunt to find the "Energon cube." The whole party was a Transformers theme. Inside the cube were favors with play-doh, candy, transformer fruit snacks, dinosaurs for the boys, and bracelets for the girls.

Here they are crowding around the "Energon" cube to see what's inside.

We also played Transformers bowling. Notice all the pins have a different transformer character taped to it. The kids absolutely loved that game.

After the games, we opened presents. All the kids were so excited to see what he got. I could barely get a picture because they had to be right in front standing up.

We sang Happy Birthday and munched on brownies for dessert.

Here are some cute pictures of Olivia. The first one she is pouting because her red balloon just popped. So sad. The second, we put her Elmo in the cube and she pretended that was her present. She cracks me up.

I am so happy I decided to throw a kid party for Andrew this year, even though it was a lot of work. I just wish we could have included our Logan friends!

Swimming Lessons

Summer Adventure #5
Olivia and Andrew are taking swimming lessons in Roosevelt this summer. I was excited to do swimming lessons there considering I took lessons at the Roosevelt pool every summer when I was a kid and had lots of good memories. The teacher for the mom and me class has been working there for years and was one of the teachers when I was younger.

Olivia did so good this day. She jumped to me over and over again.

Here is a picture of her gliding to me. The man holding her is our teacher. Olivia is scared to death of him because he poured water on her but I like him a lot.

Olivia just about to go under the water. The smile came off her face pretty quick after that but at least she didn't cough and choke.

Here are some pictures of Andrew with his teacher. He loves swimming lessons but has yet to get the top of his head wet.

Another pic of me and Livy chasing a ball. She did really well knowing that my mom, Christy, and Emily were all watching her that day.

Here is a picture of Andrew swimming with his arms. Swimming lessons has been so much fun. My cousin Cassidy is also in lessons so we get to ride out every day with my aunt Christy and eat lunch. My kids have loved it. Hopefully by the end of this week, Andrew will finally put his head in! Otherwise I may have to dunk him. :)

Here is one final picture of Olivia telling me off for dunking her.

Park Family Reunion

Summer Adventure #4

This year the Park family reunion was at Warm Springs in Hannah. We had a ton of fun and even got our own little cabin to stay in.

Andrew loved this four-wheeler. I confess that I absolutely hated that thing. Not only did it wake me up at horrible hours, but Olivia tried to run herself over with it. Not a good toy!

Olivia carted her doll around in the front of this push cart for most of the weekend.

There were tons of fun outdoor games that Andrew loved.

Awww! Haha. Mostly I just love this picture of the mountains and pond. Sorry for the PDA. :)

Here is the corner of our cute little cabin in front of the mountains.

We had a fun little family weekend. There was fishing, biking, and paddle boats to play in. I was just thankful it was a short drive from Duchesne.
