I have been meaning to get on here and post something new so I don't look like a complete downer talking about my sucky week... Unfortunately I have been busy making something to post on my other blog. (2 blogs + Megan = bad idea). Oh well, I am really liking having two blogs most of the time, especially a fun crafty one. To prove that I am not a complete mess like last week, I wanted to update and let everyone know we are all much better after our horrible sick week and have been enjoying the fabulous weather in Logan (although I here it's supposed to snow, ugh).
Some interesting happenings of the last week:
1) My in-laws came out and we had a ton of fun... (post is forthcoming because I remembered my camera!)
2) We went to the new Whittier Center playground and my kids absolutely loved it. I love living in a big enough city to have dozens of parks to choose from, especially cool ones like that.
3) I learned to crochet! I am totally addicted now if I can just finish up my hot pad so I can start another one.
4) I decided to start an exercise routine and PLEASE pray that I will stick to it. I really need to get in shape. I ran this morning and thought my lungs were collapsing (not a good sign). My goal is to be able to run a mile without stopping.
Hopefully my next few blog posts will be more interesting or at least have pictures. For now, you should go check out this hilarious post I just read on The Meanest Mom, I was totally laughing out loud.

Sick!
This week has been LOUSY!
1-Olivia is soo sick with the flu.
2-She has had pretty close to 10 baths in the past two days.
3- I have done 5 loads of laundry in those two days.
4- My dryer broke.
5- It will cost 70$ just to have someone come look at it.
6- Ben got in a bike wreck.
7- We still have no insurance.
8- I think Olivia gave me her sickness.
9- School is coming to an end and I have LOADS of homework.
10- Andrew won't listen to a thing I say.
I won't even pretend that I am trying to stay positive because I am not. But I am grateful for the following...
1- The garbage man that came and took the filthy diapers far away from me.
2- My new clothes drying rack.
3- The warm weather that has made it possible to use #2 above.
4- Ben is okay from the bike wreck.
5- Today is Monday and Ben and I are going to watch Amazing Race.
6- Disinfecting cleaning supplies that make my home habitable at this time.
I am praying the next couple days will be better than the last few! Being sick is the WORST.

Baby Animal Days
We went to baby animal days here in Logan for the FIRST time last weekend. We have wanted to go in the past but have always left town right in the middle of it. We got to see baby chicks, ducks, bunnies, sheep, pigs, goats, and bears! I love the American West Heritage Center, it is so fun.Holding the baby ducks. They were sooo very cute.
My kids were probably more obsessed with the train and pony rides than the animals. We waited in a huge line to go around one time on this train. Olivia about had a come apart when I took her off.
Baby Bears!
Andrew on the pony. He is so big!
You see that horse over there to the left? I was in that one being a complete cheese ball in front of a bunch of people. Of course Ben didn't see me and thus cropped me out. Haha. All that cheesiness for nothing. All in all it was a good day and my kids had a blast. I don't know if I would pay that much to go again considering that my kids were crazy over the things that are there all the time, but it was fun.

Let's go fly a kite
Yesterday before we were attacked by a SPRING snow storm, the weather was pretty nice. My mom got the kids kites this year for Easter. They absolutely loved it. While Ben was running, Olivia kept yelling and pointing, "Elmo! Elmo!" Too cute. Andrew kept running all around the yard with his. Just 30 minutes after we put them away, it started raining and then SNOWING! I am sooooo sick of this weather! I just wanted to crawl into a deep dark hole this morning when I woke up to several inches. No exaggeration!

Happy Easter
We had a great Easter weekend in Duchesne this year. I only had my camera while we were with my family so I don't have any pictures of Ben's family, but we spent time with them also. Friday night we drove to Provo for a reunion with some of my grandma's German ancestors that came to Utah. It was really amazing to meet them all!Saturday morning, we started off by going to the town Easter egg hunt. When I was growing up, helping with the town Easter egg hunt was tradition in my family. We helped dye hundreds of eggs, hid them in sub-freezing :) temperatures at 6am, and helped hand out prizes. This year I slept in with the kids while Ben got up to hide eggs with my family and the Lion's Club, poor guy! We got about a dozen boiled eggs and a couple prize eggs. Despite the FREEZING cold temperatures, the kids had a blast.
After the hunt, we helped hand out prizes and waited for the Easter bunny to be free so we could get our turn with her. My kids absolutely loved her.... hmm wonder why? (My sis was this year's beautiful bunny!)
I was soo shocked to see Olivia take to the bunny so well. She refused to come to me. She got to sit on her lap for a good 15 minutes and gave her kisses and tried to feed her candy. She then walked her out and the Easter bunny went back to what my aunt called, "Easter land" Haha.
After the town festivities, we had lunch with Ben's family (sorry, no pics) and celebrated his grandma's birthday. We then went to his parent's house for an Easter egg hunt with Andrew and his cousin Quade. They had a blast.
Sunday afternoon we dyed Easter eggs with Oma and headed for home. What a fun and LONG weekend. I am happy to be home again.

April Fools!
It snowed yesterday and that is no April Fool's joke! I was so annoyed to wake up to several inches of snow this morning but it is thankfully melting quite fast. The kids and I decided to make the most of it and build a snowman. Ironically it is our first and hopefully last one this season!
Olivia would only get that close for a hug.
Andrew wasn't shy.
Today was a little Easter egg hunt for the tenants around here. Andrew had a blast gathering up as many eggs as he could. Olivia was happy with the two little things that she picked up, a squirt gun and a ball. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures because I was hurrying so we weren't late. Tomorrow we are headed to Duchesne for more Easter festivities. I just love Easter! It is one of my favorite holidays. Not only the celebration of life through the Resurrection, but the life all around us after a miserable winter. It lifts my spirits and makes me excited for warm weather! It is just a perfect time of year. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me. See ya next week!
PS- The first post on my new blog is now up, I am really excited so go check it out! It is http://desire2create.blogspot.com
