24th of July

We had a fun little Twenty Fourth of July here in Logan. We went down to Willow Park in the afternoon for a parade. We sat all by ourselves so Andrew got thrown gobs of candy! He was having so much fun. Olivia thought it was pretty entertaining too, especially the horses. She was jumping up and down yelling at them. That night we went to the concert at the park. Peter Breinholt and David Tolk were there. I had never heard much of Peter Breinholt, but I thought he was really good. David Tolk is one of my favorites, I was way excited to see him there. Andrew needed a little coaxing to get out there and dance but after that, we couldn't keep him near us. He was running around, tapping his feet, twirling in circles, and everything in between. Olivia finally turned sour since we kept her up past her bedtime so we went home and watched the fireworks from our house and then lit a few of our own.

Peter Breinholt, sorry they are a little blurry.

Hooray for the 24th! and for getting to stay up late!

Our Camping Trip

Well this is belated but we went camping a couple weeks ago. It was our first little camping trip with Olivia. We drove around for nearly 2 hours looking for a spot to camp and finally found a spot right by a stream that wasn't actually for camping but it had a firepit so it worked. Andrew had a ton of fun playing around until it started getting dark. Then he kept asking to go home and to get in the car. He was not pleased with the idea of sleeping in the tent in the wilderness. He got over it when we pulled out the smores though. Haha. I was quite nervous wondering if we would get any sleep with both kids being out of their comfort zone but they both slept the entire night just fine! We woke up the next morning and Ben made us an awesome breakfast. After breakfast Andrew started hiking back to the car and said he wanted to go home, apparently he had had enough fun. So we drove home to our showers! I love camping but my OCD tendencies stop me from appreciating dirt as much as I probably should. :)

PS- I have no idea why this post is underlined...

Happy 4th of July!

This is belated, but we had a good fourth of July! We went to Duchesne last tuesday and Ben went camping up in the Uintahs with his brother Grant. They hiked 8 miles in and camped and fished until friday night. I was so happy to have Ben home. It was only 3 days, but I was starting to go crazy without him.
Grant got horrible blisters after only a mile! Poor guy!
This was the lake they camped near. They caught about 20 fish between the two of them! I was so jealous. I really like to fish if I have a good chance of catching something.
Here is their little camp sight.
While they were gone, Andrew, Olivia, and I played with fireworks, went swimming at the pool, and hung out with family. Me and Jennifer stayed up till 5 am one of the nights just gabbing! That is not something I want to repeat any time soon! We were both so grumpy and tired the next day.
On the fourth, we went to the annual breakfast in Duchesne and then went up to the lake with my family. I rode the "molecule" for the first time and almost peed my pants, but it was fun. It would have been funner had the water not been so COLD!
On Sunday we had a big luncheon in my grandma's backyard. Can I just say, I love her backyard. I forget how much I love it till I go there in the summer. It's huge and has tons of big trees. It's so pretty.
Olivia was not pleased to hear that we had to go home... neither was I. I love going to visit family in Duchesne, especially in the summer!

Never been happier for NAP TIME!

Disclaimer: Don't mind the bad English and lack of punctuation, I was in a hurry.

Today has been one hectic day and I haven't even left the house! Haha. I pulled the pool out for Andrew today so he would have something to do. I left him alone for a few minutes and came back to find the entire pool filled with rocks from our yard. So much for the clear crystal water. I sat out there with him for awhile and then it was time to come inside, it was way too hot outside for me! Well he was drenched so I just stripped him down completely and figured, what the heck, I will let him run around the house naked for a bit. I went in the backroom to type down Sean's address as my mother-in-law gave it to me over the phone and it then became very quiet in the house. I walk into the living room and see that the front door is opened and Andrew is running down the sidewalk butt naked, except for some sneakers. I quickly grab him and put clothes on him and go back to finish checking my email. (I should no better by now to only do that at nap time) I come back into the kitchen and Andrew is under the table feeding Olivia leftover baby food that he got out of the fridge. Her face and the floor are covered in "turkey rice dinner"... She seemed to be really enjoying herself actually and Andrew was laughing his head off. I grab Olivia, put her in the bath tub (no water added, yet), and start cleaning up the floor as Andrew comes walking in the kitchen carrying scissors and Olivia's binky, which he is trying to cut, apparently he thinks she should have to cut up her binkies too. I grab the scissors, save the binky and try to finish cleaning when I hear the bath water come on and Olivia start screaming... at this point I am thinking... You have got to be kidding me! As I ran to the bathroom I was contemplating duct-taping Andrew to the sofa. I turn the water a few degrees above the freezing temperature Andrew had going and proceed to finish undressing Olivia, give her a bath, and put her and Andrew down for a nap. Andrew slept on the couch today because Olivia wouldn't stop pestering him in his room. Phew... me time. Well they are awake again and Andrew wants cereal. He is now eating a few pieces and then giving some to Olivia. He says, "Look, Andrew share with Wivia." He laughs his head off when she bites his finger instead of the cereal. Then he tells me, "Wivia is best friend." How sweet.

She was NOT happy when I tried to get a picture of them together.
So angry that she took it out on Andrew and tried to bite him. This is a daily thing in our house. He just laughs at her most of the time, check out the smile.

So sweet when they are asleep!
