We got to go to the Draper temple this weekend with my cousin CJ. He will be leaving on his mission to Bulgaria in August. I love the Draper temple, I was so excited to go through again since last time it was just a tour. It's beautiful. All the family, well all the family that came at least. :) Maybe a better word would be HALF the family.
CJ and his mom!
Andrew saying a little prayer at "Jesus House" :) He was really excited to stay and hang out with the cousins while we went through until I told him I was going to the temple, then he changed his mind. At least until they told him he would get to play baseball at the park. Andrew is obsessed with baseball lately! He asks to go outside and play all the time. I got these cool pics of us outside playing with the sunset behind us.
Here are some pics of my new additions. I was so excited to get some plants!
We bought Andrew a little swimming pool a few weeks ago and it's finally nice enough weather to use it.
Crack kills, honey.

So you think you can dance?
So I have become obsessed with watching So you think you can dance. It's quite unfortunate however because I don't have tv, haha. Basically I have to just get on youtube and watch dances, hoping to get the ones from this season, which sometimes happens. :) I think the contemporary dances are my favorite so far, I especially like Mia Michaels, although some of her stuff is a bit out there. I still like it. I also like the hip hop dances. After wasting so much time watching dances, I think two of my favorites are these... Thought I would share.
Katee Shean & Joshua Allen
Chelsie Hightower & Mark Kanemura
I love pretty much all the dances with Joshua Allen and Katee Shean, incidentally I learned he was the winner of that season. This one was my favorite though! So awesome. It gives me chills. I told Ben that him and I should learn to do this dance, hahahahaha that could be some serious entertainment. I could even do my hair like Katee! If you're bored you should look up their hip hop dance, it was cool too.
I really liked the story behind the dance with Chelsie & Mark. It was about a workaholic husband and his wife not wanting him to go. Maybe I like it because I feel like that when Ben leaves for work sometimes, although he is not a workaholic and would probably stay home if I threw as big of a fit as she did. Haha.
I will have to get caught up on this season when we go to Duchesne. Ben will probably be happy to have me watch it with someone else. I think he is getting sick of me yelling for him to come watch all these dances. I have to share it with someone! Anyone else like this show or know of some good dances I can look up on youtube? :)

Happy Father's Day Grandpa!
I used to not be a big fan of this holiday. It was a little depressing not having a dad around to share it with. However, as I sat thinking about dads last night I couldn't help but feel so very blessed to have so many caring men in my life that have helped fill that role. The man who did the most for me is my grandpa. My grandpa has always been there for me. We lived on the same street as my grandparents my whole life and I owe so much to them for being so involved in my life. Some of my favorite memories of my grandpa growing up are:
*Whenever something exciting was happening he would call me and say, "Megan come over, I have something to show you." One of my favorite things he called me for was going searching for night crawlers in the back yard. He taught me that in order to catch one, I just had to hold on tight, not pull, and eventually they would give up and I could pull them out. I used to love being outside with him. He would take me for rides on his old fashioned tiller, we would go "ruff-dog" (prairie dog) shooting, he took me fishing a few times, craw-dad hunting, or we would just go outside and count the satellites up in the sky at night.
*We did so many things just the two of us. I guess I was his favorite grandchild, haha just kidding cousins! He used to take me for rides in the big semi trucks after he finished working on them. He took me on a helicopter ride once with a friend of his. I used to go over to his house, sit on the counter, and sing Lorrie Morgan songs to him. I was really into western stuff for a short time and he took me to the western store and got me cowboy boots and all sorts of clothes to wear. I remember he introduced me to "worry stones" and his was always way smoother than mine! I used to be my grandpa's elf for Christmas when he would play Santa Claus for the town and he even gave me an elf name and got me my very own ornament that says, "Twinkle Star Claus" He is the only person in the world to call me, "Megan Muh-gill-a-kud-ee" Haha, I have no idea where he got that.
*Some of my favorite memories are going on vacations with my grandparents. We have been to Vegas, Seattle, and my favorite Galveston. When we went to Galveston, it was just me, my grandparents, and my mom. My grandpa and I played in the ocean all day.
*My grandpa has a huge heart. He is always calling me and asking about the kids and Ben. He works for hours on my car when something is wrong. I remember him asking me to come down and talk to him after a friend of mine had died in high school and he took me on a drive with my grandma and Ben. He has always stepped in to play the dad role in my life... whether it was the first dance at prom, walking me down the aisle, or letting me shower him with gifts for Father's Day.
He has been one of my very best friends all my life and I love him so much. One blog post is not enough to say how great he is. If God only gave me him, I would be truly blessed. Thankfully, I also have amazing uncles and I am so grateful for Ben for really showing me what a great dad is. So with that said, I will stop carrying on now. Happy Father's Day to all you amazing dads out there.

What we've been up to...
My printer has been acting crazy so I haven't been able to upload pictures but I finally got it working so this is what we've been up to so far this summer...Fishing...
Hiking...
Daddy-daughter time...
Ben's brother is now officially Elder Marett!
Daddy-son time...
NAPS!
We went and roasted marshmallows up Logan canyon
Andrew knows how to use matches we learned, SCARY!
Olivia got mad at me because I wouldn't let her eat dirt. Look at those big watery eyes!
Have you ever seen a more delicious looking smore??? I was proud.
Me and Andrew sharing it.
Sticky face.
I had to prop the camera on the car and set the timer but I got this pic of Ben and I.
Some other interesting tidbits about our summer are:
*This weekend is the ward campout and we are going to try camping with Olivia for the first time!
*Ben got an internship so he is now working a full time job and a part time job! Its crumby but at least we will have some money.
*Andrew went to the dentist today to get some little cavities on his front teeth filled. He only had laughing gas and he did SO good!

My garden
I am so sad we don't have a garden this year! I expected to be relieved by not having to do so much work but it's mostly just depressing! So I decided to make myself a little herb garden to feel better. I went and got some basil, sage, lemon thyme, chives, and rosemary and made this cute little mini-garden to go in my kitchen window. I am SO excited. I couldn't stop touching and smelling my plants, I love them. Haha.

I love to see the temple!
I really wanted to go to the temple the other day but it was too late by the time Ben got home so we just went up and walked around on the temple grounds. It will be two years this month since Ben and I went through the temple for the first time. I think time is flying faster the more children I have. Here are some pics from up at the temple.Seeing these roses almost made me cry, I miss my rose garden!!
I love this pic!
Going to the temple really brings out the reverence in us. :)
