Happy New Year!

Happy New Year... a month later! For New Years day, we had a party with Ben and Elaine Farnsworth and their kids. We made lots of appetizers like last year. Brushetta, Cream Puffs with Chicken Salad, Hummus, Southwestern Egg Rolls, Stuffed Jalapenos, and Brie Cheese Roll. Ben and Elaine brought homemade bread and jam. It was tons of fun.

The following day we had an FHE lesson on setting goals. Last year the kids set lots of goals and kept most of them! This year they came up with some of the following:

Andrew: Be baptized, memorize the articles of faith, learn three songs on the cello, earn 20$, go backpacking, learn fire and knife safety, play a sport, learn how to sew, learn how to make pancakes.

Olivia: Learn to draw cats, go fishing and learn to cast, start music lessons, earn 10$, learn to read well, learn how to hand sew, do homework without help.

We came up with the rest of the goals for Ben, Millie, and I.

Millie: Learn colors and shapes, learn to clean up plate, go under the water in swimming lessons.

Megan: Learn to make cheese, run a 5-10k, Read Book of Mormon with study guide each day, learn to embroider, write in journal at least once a month, read 12 books, take math placement exam.

Ben: Graduate, get a job, hike to King's Peak, 100% home teaching, take Megan out on 12 dates.

We are looking forward to 2014!
